„…Vorobjova selected the pieces on Le Clavecin Poétique to showcase the unique andimpressive sonic qualities of the Ruckers harpsichord. Throughout, I was struck by the range of dynamics, colors, and textures Vorobjova elicited from the venerable instrument. These sonic felicities combine with qualities I have long associated with Vorobjova’s artistry:
pristine technique, lyrical, flexible and sensitive phrasing, and a spirited, life-affirming attitude that, as I have previously written, is “as far from a dry, academic approach as one could hope for.”Pleasures abound in this recital from first note to last. The recording, made in the Unterlinden Museum, is glorious. This exceptional recital is a strong candidate for my 2025 Want List.
